With conventional techniques, molds with cooling channel are usually straight, with slow and uneven cooling effect. Metal 3D printing could be used to manufacture complicated molds with conformal cooling channels. Compared with traditional molds, conformal cooling channel molds could achieve fast and uniform cooling targets, faster mold stripping speed and better results. In addition, molds with vent holes made by the metal 3D printing can solve the difficulties which the traditional manufacturing technology can not be.
